INFORMATIVE ARTICLE: CATCH THEM YOUNG-A Message to Parents
‘’Remember now thy Creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have no pleasure in them’’ (Ecclesiastes 12:1)
It pays to know and have a working relationship with God at a very tender age; it is such an experience of a lifetime one will live to appreciate. I am talking about a scenario where someone is privileged through God’s special grace to have a smooth course right from the youthful life all through till you go to meet the Lord.
While growing up as a young Christian some years ago and even up till now, I have come across many people whose greatest regrets in life was just the fact that they did not take part in Christ early and as a result has made regrettable decisions they now wish time could be reversed. However, many of such people within a little period of knowing the Lord have redeemed their wasted time and years with enviable results such that you wonder what would have become of them had they met Christ too early? Thus the saying it’s not how far but how well.
Someone might say come off it; are you presenting this as if life is just bread and butter where everything is rosy? From the opening scripture it was clearly stated …‘’while (or before) the evil day comes’’. Matthew 6:34 talks about sufficient evil for every day while the Master himself buttressed the fact that as long as you live in this part of this cosmos, trials and challenges are inevitable(John 16:33) but thanks be God for giving us the victory in Christ.
I needed to clarify this so as not to present Christianity as some sort of utopia, however, it can never be compared to a life without Christ which is full of darkness, confusion, pain, agony and eternal damnation.
This generation in which we all presently find ourselves I tell you is so blessed and privileged I don’t know what excuse we have for not being the best in God as well as fulfilling our parts in ensuring our children are well brought up in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. There is so much going on in this world now we can’t just continue to fold our hands especially in this age where social networking and smartphones are the order of the day. Cyber bullying is so rampant now you might not realize what is happening under your very nose.
As parents how long are we going to be overly occupied with the hustle and bustle of life and continue to allow the enemy to truncate the divine destinies of our children? Ephesians 2:2 talks about the spirit at work in the children of disobedience. All in the name of civilization, modernization and westernization we allow them to rock along without even checking out the lasting effects of some of the things we permit, so far it looks and sounds nice then its ok. I advocate as well we should take advantage of the good things in this world to improve our lives and propagate the gospel but I always watch out for the boundaries. In my little life I have seen and heard unfathomable issues, especially among the youths, all I could do was just to pray on behalf of many parents who are failing God by not being sensitive enough as regards the spiritual future of their wards, the truth is that we cannot give what we don’t have but we can try our very best to ensure our children do not follow our pattern of errors.
Lastly, I submit to you that the fact someone…Continue Reading…@https://thegloriouschurchinternational.wordpress.com

“Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner, and I ask for Your forgiveness. I believe You died for my sins and rose from the dead. I turn from my sins and invite You to come into my heart and life. I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and Savior and to yield back the life given to me by You, back to You. Take Control of my life Lord, and let only your will be done in my life from now on. Amen.”
